After the first verse, you can drop the Dm and Dm7 in the other verses
Let me [C]tell you a tale and a [G]good one I own
Of an [Dm]old cab[Dm7]allo, a strawberry [C]roan
I was [C]hangin' round [C7]town just a [F]spendin' my time
