an [E]everlasting [B7]vision of the [E]everchanging [B7]view,
a [F#m7]wondrous woven [B]magic in [A]bits of blue and [B]gold,
a [Amaj7]tapestry to [G#m7]feel and see, im[F#m]possible to [B7]hold.
[Emaj7]Once amid the [B9]soft silver [Emaj7]sadness in the [B9]sky
there [E]came a man of [B9]fortune, a [E]drifter passing [B7]by
he [F#m7]wore a torn and [B]tattered cloth ar[A]ound his leathered [B]hide
and a [Amaj7]coat of many [G#m7]colors, yellow-[F#m]green on either [B7]side. [F#m7] [B7]
He [G]moved with some un[D7sus]certain[D7]ty, as [Gmaj7]if he didn't [D7]know
[G]just what he was [D7sus]there [D7]for, or [Gmaj7]where he ought to [D7]go
[B]once he reached for [Gb7]something golden [Abm7]hanging from a [B]tree
and his [Emaj7]hand came down - emp[Gb]ty.
[E]Soon within my [B7]tapestry al[E]ong the rutted [B7]road
he [E]sat down on a [B7]river rock and [E]turned into a [B7]toad,
it [F#m7]seemed that he had [B]fallen into [A]someone's wicked [B]spell,
and I [Amaj7]wept to see him [G#m7]suffer, though I [F#m]didn't know him [B7]well.
[F]As I watched in [C7]sorrow, there [F]suddenly ap[C7]peared
a [F]figure gray and [C7]ghostly be[F]neath a flowing [C7]beard
in [Gm7]times of deepest [C]darkness, I've [Bb]seen him dressed in [C]black
now my [Bbmaj7]tapestry's unr[Am7]avelling; he's [Gm]come to take me [C7]back,
