Michael Joseph Jackson (29 tháng 8 năm 1958 – 25 tháng 6 năm 2009) là một ca sĩ, nhạc sĩ, vũ công, doanh nhân và nhà từ thiện nổi tiếng người Mỹ. Ông được gọi là "Vua nhạc pop" hay "Ông hoàng nhạc pop" (tiếng Anh: "King of pop"), hoặc "MJ". Michael được công nhận như là "Nhân vật giải trí thành công nhất mọi thời đại" theo sách kỷ lục Guinness. Những đóng góp của anh cho ngành công nghiệp âm nhạc, khiêu vũ, thời trang cùng những biến động xung quanh cuộc sống cá nhân của mình, khiến anh trở thành cái tên phổ biến nhất toàn cầu trong hơn bốn thập kỷ qua. Là người con thứ 8 trong gia đình 10 người con mang họ Jackson (người anh Brandon đã chết ngay sau khi sinh nên còn lại 9 người), anh bắt đầu sự nghiệp âm nhạc chuyên nghiệp từ năm lên 11 với vị trí thành viên út trong nhóm nhạc The Jackson 5 và khởi nghiệp sôlô năm 1971. Đầu những năm 1980, Michael Jackson được xem như nghệ sĩ giải trí thành công nhất.
